ANC 6C and ANC 6A transportation committees will meet jointly on August 3, 2017, at 7 pm, with DDOT to discuss and provide feedback on DDOT’s K Street NE redesign project concept plans.  The project is intended to mitigate safety concerns along the K Street NE corridor from North Capitol Street to Florida Avenue NE.  Input from the community will be solicited regarding overall concepts and specific designs.  The meeting will take place at Capitol Hill Towers, 900 G Street NE.  Photo ID required.  Members of the public are encouraged to attend.



The Historic Preservation Office (HPO) is accepting applications for the Historic Homeowner grant program. To be considered for construction in FY17, Part I applications must be received by July 5 this year. According to HPO, Part I applications are simple and can be completed in less than 30 minutes.

The Historic Homeowner grant program awards grants up to $25,000 to homeowners in Capitol Hill, and other select historic districts, for the preservation of their historic residence. Grants are for low and moderate income households.  Parts of Single Member Districts 6C01, 6C02, 6C03 and 6C04 include historic districts with eligible homeowners.
